John Roccesano (rä-kə-‘sa-nō ) a.k.a. Johnny Rock
I’ve been playing the drums and recording music since 1992. Music is my lifelong passion, and I’d love to help bring your songs to life. I play a variety of styles, own drums and cymbals for any occasion, and there’s nowhere I’d rather be than in a studio or on a stage.
I’m based in Hudson County, New Jersey, and our vibrant music community has always felt like home. I’ve played and toured in original bands such as BWQ, Jamie Rose, Viktor.Digital, Debra Devi, and The Love Network. I’ve recorded all of these artists and more in my studio called Silver Horse Sound in Hoboken, NJ. I also know hundreds of cover songs, and I play or sub in cover bands such as Tony Caggiano Band, Dirty Water Dogs, and Men or Myth.

My favorite place to be is the recording studio; I run and share one called Silver Horse Sound with my friends Max Feinstein and Ben Scott.

We have a dedicated, treated control room complete with Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, and Adobe Premiere; conversion by Metric Halo; preamps by SSL, Vintech, Pendulum, A-Designs, BURL, and UA. Our live room has high ceilings (great for drum sounds), comfortably fits a small band, and we have a wealth of microphones, in-house drums and many cymbals, guitar amps and pedals, and my favorite of course – the percussion bin.
